The Kachkovka River is located in the eastern part of the Kola Peninsula. It falls into a gulf of the White Sea.
The river Kachkovka is a typical river of the fault type. In headwaters the river valley is not very obvious. In the middle and lower course the valley is V-shaped, and closer to the mouth has the form of a trapezoidal canyon. Area adjoining the river valley is an open plateau where numerous little lakes are located in lowering. A river channel is moderately twisted. Length of the river is 59.3 km.
